Students can join our programs during registration periods at the start of each semester. Auditions are only required for Varsity Mixed Choir and Concert Choir. The band and theater programs have no audition requirements.
What are the costs associated with participation?
Costs vary by program. Choir requires a t-shirt fee for Varsity Mixed Choir as it's their uniform. Band has instrument fees and uniform fees that vary. Theater has no class fees but may require costume contributions for productions. Need based exceptions are available for all programs.
When are rehearsals and performances scheduled?
Regular class occurs during school hours. Additional rehearsals are typically scheduled during CAT Time. Performances are in the evenings on weekdays for music while theater usually goes into the weekend. A full calendar is available on our Events page.
How can parents get involved?
We welcome parent volunteers for costume construction, set building, concert ushering, fundraising, and trip chaperoning. Please contact the program director to ask for specific details on events needing volunteers.
What performance opportunities are available?
Students can participate in concerts, musicals, plays, marching band shows, jazz band performances, solo/ensemble festivals, and state competitions. Advanced students may audition for honor ensembles and all-state programs.
How do I purchase tickets for performances?
Tickets for most events can be purchased at the door with cash or check. For major productions, online ticket sales will be available through our website. Some free performances may require reserved seating tickets.
